Hi, I’m Jason.
I’m the creator of Jase and His Quirkz, and the person behind The QuirkWork. Everything I share comes from lived experience—not just something I studied or read about.
I've personally always thought in pictures, characters, and stories. During my own recovery, I realized those same creative instincts could help me understand what I was feeling in ways that words alone never had. I could package the nebulous, cloudy emotions that were scattered around my head into characters that felt whole and solid. Then, not only could I communicate them easier to others, but I also wasn't quite so overwhelmed by them anymore.
Looking back, I realize I'd been creating characters my whole life. I just never imagined one day they'd help me understand myself.

This video was created over five years ago, when I had only 14 Quirkz.
More recently, I’ve added a new Quirk called “Broke-n-Bones.”
It’s a reminder that the QuirkWork is dynamic— it can grow and evolve as you do. Some Quirkz may stay with you for years… while others reveal themselves over time.
And that’s a good thing.
The more Quirkz you uncover, the more you begin to understand your own emotional language— and, ultimately, yourself.
Meet My Quirkz
Over time, I began turning the emotional patterns I noticed into imaginative characters I called Quirkz.
They helped me understand myself with curiosity instead of judgment.

Worried Batz
The vampire who's afraid of the dark... and everything else.
Obsessive Whimzy
The witch who cannot stop cleaning with her broom.
Awkward Mimmy
The mummy who wraps herself in toilet paper, not liking how she looks.
Down Stein
The bummed out Mechanical Monster who always has a cloud over him.
Frustrated Fuzz
The little bear that morphs into the BearWolf when he can't control his anger.
Shy Boo
The social phobic ghost that wants to be seen, until she is.
Misunderstood Morelda
The clever fortune teller who hears and sees more than most.
Over Excited PsyFy
The manic inventor who gets incredibly excited about inventing and then is often disappointed.
Paranoid Eek
The arachnophobic spider that is convinced spiders are out to get him.
Unfocused FireFly
The little lightning bug that lights others way but gets distracted so easily.
Overly Concerned Wormy
The earth worm that takes care of Zomboy but often feels burned out from it.
Forgetful ZomBoy
The zombie whose body has deteriorated so much it's affected his memory and cognition.
Bullied Broom
Whimzy's broom and friend who accidentally gets pushed around by her to keep cleaning.
